Tours
The museum welcomes groups for docent-led group tours. Please contact the museum at least three weeks in advance of your intended visit.
Docent guided tours for the public are offered free with admission on the days and times listed below. These tours last for about an hour and provide a general overview of the museum and our current exhibitions. Please call 505-476-5063 to confirm that a volunteer docent is scheduled for the day of your visit.

Schools may schedule a tour of the museum that is designed for their class needs and can include a docent guide. K-12 tours are divided into groups of approximately 12 students and each group is assigned its own docent. There is no charge for school group visits to the museum, including all chaperones. Tours last approximately one hour, but can be adjusted for individual class needs. For school groups with additional time, hands on activities can be made available dependent on group size. Groups larger than 10 may schedule a docent guided tour at a price of $8 per person which includes admission.

May through October the New Mexico Museum of Art invites you to join us on one of our weekly Art Walking Tours of Santa Fe (weather permitting). Led by a docent, the tour highlights the art and architectural history of downtown Santa Fe. Tours leave at 10 AM on Mondays and Fridays from the Museum lobby. Tours are $20 per person, and children 16 and under are free. Museum admission is included with the purchase of an Art Walking Tour ticket.
Proceeds support education programs at the New Mexico Museum of Art.
