Drip Tease: John Tinker’s Narrative Sculptures

On display Aug 13, 2010 - Jan 9, 2011

John Tinker comments on the contradictions of modern life through sculptures that often romanticize liquids that leak, ooze or pool.  These fifteen recent works reflect the artist’s droll observations on relationships and popular culture at the beginning of the twenty-first century.  Tinker finely crafts his sculptures from  wood, resins, plastics, and encaustic waxes to impart a surrealistic quality to the subjects in Drip Tease.
